Who can use this feature?
Filter Your ABM Company List
It's important to understand that filtering narrows your company list—never expands it—and always returns records from the list. For most categories, if a signal can't return any list records, it's not available for selection as a filter, though the full lists of signals for Intent and Product Technologies are always available. Filtering doesn't return contact records directly to the list, but it does return companies from the list that have contacts that match your filters.
- Open the list you want to deploy records from.
- Search for companies by name or filter the list using signals. Just click Filter List and select Business and Contact signal categories from the left panel. For each category we'll show you signals that can return records in the list.
Example: Segment Your List for Deployment
Let's say you have a company list built from these categories and signals.
Industry: Finance and Insurance
No. of Employees: 1,000 to 4,999, 5,000 to 9,999, and Over 10,000
Product Technology: Web-Oriented Architecture and Communications Technologies
And for your current ABM program, you want to target company execs in Engineering: President, VP, and the like.
When you search the list, you'll only find companies in the list, such as First Republic Bank or Farmers Group, Inc..
When you filter the list, you can select or de-select signals you specified when building the list—in this case Industry, Location, No. of Employees, and Product Technology. For signals you didn't specify when building the list—such as Annual Revenue and Intent—we'll let you filter by all the signal options that will return at least one record in the list.
When you filter by Contact Title President and Contact Title VP, we'll return records for all companies that have at least one contact that has President or VP in their title.
